Sailing Yachts Bring your dinghy or motor boat or hire one down here. There are miles of river to explore and the sea is only 3 miles away.
Swimming and beaches Putsbourgh Beach Many nearby, some of the best in the West Country.
Fishing and crabbing Crabbing at Stoke Gabriel Plenty of opportunities. The old mill dam between the large millpond and creek in Stoke Gabriel make this the ideal crabbing place.
Exploring Millpool, Stoke Gabriel Wander around the village, there is so much to see and most people are surprised at how such an interesting area remains undiscovered. Stroll from the pond, creek or river up narrow lanes that lead you to the centre of the village. Walk through the cider orchard and see the 1000 year old yew tree in the churchyard, saunter along Church Walk and have a drink outside The Church House Inn, taking in the atmosphere.
Food and Drink Devon Cream Tea

There are 3 shops in the village and a Sainsbury Super Market just 5 minutes away by car. Enjoy a glass of wine or beer and superb fresh food at the Rivershack on the quay. The 2 pubs offer real ale and excellent food, as do the bistro and hotel.

Torbay Paignton Zoo

Paignton Zoo is only three miles away and there are river and sea cruises and steam train trips nearby.

Torquay has Kents Cavern and a large model village among other attractions and there is a go kart track on the way to the delightful fishing port of Brixham.

South Hams Buckfast Abbey in Devonshire Totnes and Dartington Hall are 10 minutes away.Totnes is an Elizabethan river town with an ancient castle. The beauty of Dartington Hall with it's glorious gardens and world famous arts and music activities makes this an essential place to visit.

Dartmouth, Dartmoor, Salcombe, Exeter and Plymouth can all be reached easily.
