The Apartment

Built in 2003 on a prime beach-side site, Marina Parc exudes quality. From the second floor, a shaded terrace overlooks the communal swimming pool below. Adjoining the pool is The Boardwalk (pedestrians use only) to town, a 10-minute walk, passing numerous bars and restaurants. Cross the Boardwalk and you are on a beach of fine golden sand stretching 3 kilometres just 5 seconds from Marina Parc. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower, a living room and kitchen. The apartment is air-conditioned and has satellite TV and a DVD player along with bedding, crockery and cutlery for 6. Access by lift to the apartment can be made directly from the car park.

Roses town

Just 20 miles from the French border and served by the A7 toll motorway 9 miles away, Roses is a small fishing town with its own Rambla and medieval streets. Wander past fabulous fish restaurants and bars. Enjoy some Tapas. There are great open air markets in town every Sunday and a closed market every day.

Catalonia, Costa Brava

Enjoying an enviable position between the South of France and Barcelona, this region enjoys a kind climate. Dali, Gaudi, and Picasso all lived here. Catalonia is a separate region from Spain and Catalan is a different language. The diet is Mediterranean: lots of fresh fish and vegetables. The wine from the local area of Penedes is excellent. It is a great place to be based to visit the Dali museum in Figueras, The Pyrenees and, of course, Barcelona. There are miles of beautiful walks and bike rides and the Mediterranean is on your doorstep.

Getting there

One of the reasons we decided to buy here was because of the ease of communication. There are 5 international airports within easy reach and 2 of those, Gerona and Perpignan are less than 1 hour away. Barcelona's 2 airports and Toulouse are a little further. The well-known budget airlines use these destinations. There are train and bus connections to Barcelona and to France from Figueras.
